I hate to say it guys, but I must admit I do love me some high life. Even better out of the bottle. $11 18-packs in college were the go to and the bottles make a nice sound when they break...
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
EDIT: Best to enjoy the champagne (sham-PAG-nuh) with an hors d’oeuvres (Horse DEE-vers) if escargot (ESS-kar-GOT) followed by a filet mignon (FILL-ett MIG-nun) and finished off with some creme brullee (CREEM brew-LEE).

The most important thing to remember about high life is that it's very bad

High Life is no Grain Belt, but it is still a glorious American beer.

I prefer MGD or Coors Banquet if I’m at the river/beach/lake or riding mountain bikes, but I’m usually a beer dork. Not below some proper ‘Murican suds though! I used to swear by PBR, but I don’t want the Russian conglomerate that bought them getting any of my beer money.

Miller High Life in college? Were you a trust fund kid?
Also, there’s nothing wrong with MHL, you damn yuppies! >:(

If you’re going to go cheap, you need to commit, son.
$13 per case. Admittedly only in Pennsylvania.

haha well my other options were natty ice or a bottle of zenka most weeks

13 for a case of how many?
and I’m no stranger to cheap beer. Walgreens usually has some shitty 6 packs of big flats for like 2.50

It’s friendly too.

I’m right there with y’all. Life is to damn short to drink bad beer.

I buy Red Dog because it’s cheaper than bottled water at the gas station.

And on the afternoon of the twenty-third day in the seventh month of the year 21 A.S. (After Senna) all the jalops became addicted to both drug and drink and the decline of our civilization was apparent.
It started when they were banished from the promise-land and into kinja and then the great moderators lead us to a new domain. But still kinja followed.

When I was in college it was something like 12 for a 30.
To be completely fair, the cheapest beer I had in college was ‘American Beer’, the budget option by Iron City Brewing. $7.50 or $8 for 30. I just couldn’t possibly recommend it. Same goes with Knight’s Head, cheaper than Lionshead and pretty damn bad.

This is the beer they highlight on Archer all the time (Pam is usually drinking it.) I had no idea it was real!

They have it all up/down the eastern seaboard. I’ve seen it as far north as MA and as far south as the Carolinas.

Locally to me these days the cheap beer the drunks drink is Kaiser, which is something like €.75 per can. Far less than soda or bottled water.

I know I’ve had it in MA before but us Live Free or Die folk don’t like to venture over there

When I go cheap and shitty, I go cheapest and shittiest.
![]() 07/23/2015 at 17:00 |

It's better than MGD64 and Mich Ultra

Life’s too short to drink shitty beer.
Apparently Madeleine is under the impression that “good beer” is always something heavy and/or overly hoppy more suited to drinking in the winter, I mean it is an easy mistake for a hipster to make.
You want something that is perfect on a hot day and doesn’t taste like warm piss?
Lagunitas Pils
or
Victory Prima Pils.
Yes they’re probably more expensive, but getting shit faced as cheaply as possible isn’t really my goal anymore and I work hard for my money so I want to enjoy it.

High Life is cheap as dirt what are you talking about

bye
![]() 07/23/2015 at 17:09 |

Fair enough, but sometimes I just want something cheap thats easy to drink before/during/after men’s league hockey or on the lake or beach. I work hard for my money now too and don’t want to waste too much of it.

I hate high life. I'll drink some cheap beers but I hate that stuff. I may have something to do with drinking way too much of it one night.
![]() 07/23/2015 at 17:10 |

Fair enough. I prefer it over pretty much all the other cheap beers besides yuengling
![]() 07/23/2015 at 17:14 |

That's my favorite cheap beer. I prefer coors/miller lite to high life

High life is great, just don’t drink lite.
My go to cheap beers in no order: high life, Budweiser, rainier, Olympia, pbr, and if I'm back at my parents it is genessee. Always

The name looks like the sound I would make after trying it.
![]() 07/23/2015 at 18:04 |

High Life has always been at least $2 more expensive than PBR or Natty Light. For a college kid, $2 is a lavish meal at McD’s.

Oh dear sweet baby Jesus. The sickest and worst hangover I have ever had is thanks to hamms. Fuck that piss-water.

Where in the country can you still find Red Dog?!?!?

You cheap shit!
![]() 07/23/2015 at 19:15 |

There is a time and a place for cheap shitty beer. Not now, and I don’t know where, but sometime, and somewhere, it’ll do. If I’m going to drink 47 beers on the river, it’s not going to be expensive. The good stuff is for later.

Became addicted? You say this like it’s a new thing.
![]() 07/23/2015 at 19:17 |

Had some for the first time when in NY last month. I have to say, not the transcendent brew I was led to expect. Maybe I need to come back and drink more of it.
![]() 07/23/2015 at 19:22 |

Ha yeah its not amazing. But it’s a full bodied lager that is $2 dollars a pint in a lot of bars around the region. At that price, it’s second to none. Plus the name is fun to say.
![]() 07/23/2015 at 19:36 |

Hey, pal, there’s nothing wrong with getting hammered for $4.

Milwaukee’s Best (Beast) is by far the best horsepiss of a beer I consumed in college

Dude, I went to college 2 years ago, I know. And PBR is usually the same exact price (or more) than high life, at least where I live.
